Bolton are still interested in signing Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge on a permanent basis. The 21-year-old had a successful spell with the Trotters last term, scoring eight goals in 12 Premier League games.
Sturridge is seemingly behind Fernando Torres, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka in the Chelsea pecking order and Coyle hopes to take advantage.
He said: "I feel that another period with Bolton would take him on to the next level of his career."
