Freedman Expected To Suffer A Hard Transfer Season

For a club that was threatened with the prospect of relegation going into the final few months of the campaign, the end was quite happy. This was because Bolton finished midway into the Championship table at the end of the season. However, the club will be looking to target promotion in the upcoming campaign. In order to achieve this ambitious target, manager Dougie Freedman has revealed that he will be taking a hard-line when it comes to recruiting new players. Bolton have lost a number of experienced players in the last weeks of the summer.

Bolton Set For New Signings

Bolton Wanderers have already made one signing in the form of Leicester City’s Neil Danns. The player will arrive at the club at the start of the new season on a 12 month deal. Now, they are looking set to announce the second signing, as manager Dougie Freedman is looking to challenge a play-off place next season. Freedman has been speaking about the potential transfer targets into the new season. Without revealing the identity of the player, he said a few weeks ago that Bolton will sign a player who will be an absolute steal.

BOLTON WANT BECKFORD

Bolton Wanderers have shown a lot of interest in signing Leicester City striker Jermaine Beckford, but the deal is far from being completed due to several issues.

Bolton are yet to agree a deal with Leicester, while they are also believed to be miles apart when it comes to agreeing personal terms with the striker. Former Everton striker Beckford is one of the best strikers in the Championship, but it seems that his astronomical wage demands may put off the deal.
