Bolton boss Parkinson Happy with Early Season Form

Bolton Wanderers have been a rejuvenated club in the last few months.

Even though League One offers substantially lower competition, the club were expected to go through a tough season in their efforts to get promoted back to the Championship. The cleaning up of the entire club from top to bottom seems to have paid off, as they have made their best start to a league campaign in 82 years following a 2-1 win over Fleetwood Town. The club had started the new campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Sheffield United. Since then, they have followed up with three consecutive 2-1 victories.

Bolton old boys deals are on the Cards

There’s been nothing of any sort so far to suggest that the new deals are on the way for the Bolton old boys who are close to seeing off their contracts.

If Jimmy Phillip’s comments are to be taken as an indication of the future possibilities, then not all of those veterans are staying on.

Actually, there is no assurance regarding Phillips himself currently as he is there only in the position of a caretaker right now, but, if he works satisfactorily enough for the board to ask him to carry on in the job, he has dropped enough signs that he would stress on forming a young squad.

Neil Lennon claimed that he had never lost

Troubled manager Neil Lennon claimed that he had never lost his faith in the players after watching his team get a crucial 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

This was only the second win of the season for Bolton Wanderers, whose last win came way back at the start of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Bolton have been lucky to see most of their rivals not claim to many points during this period. As a result, the club remains only four points away from safety. This victory comes as a major sigh of relief for Lennon, who did not appear to be cut out for the job in the Championship.
